Used CAT Wheeled Loader - Here a 938H

Whether loading loose material into a dumper or moving it across site, this type of equipment can get the job done with less noise and disruption than a tracked vehicle. So whatever the application, there is a Caterpillar wheeled loader available on the second hand market.

With an operating weight of only 5810kg, the Caterpillar 907H2 is a wheeled loader aimed at those running smaller projects where compactness is important and ground clearance is not a particular concern. The bucket has a cubic metre of capacity and the cab is well appointed and modern, ensuring visibility is unrestricted and the operator is comfortable throughout the day. Even the joysticks are simple to access and operate with precision. Disc brakes and diff-lock allow it to tackle loose surfaces and steep inclines in safety, while the choice of either 20kmph or 35kmph operating modes means that the operator is in full control of this efficient wheeled loader.

Small CAT Wheeled Loaders

The wheeled loaders which Caterpillar categorises as small are still very versatile machines. The CAT 930M, for example, benefits from an efficient and powerful C7.1 ACERT engine that meets modern emissions standards and also has various modes available to ensure it can complete a task in good time. Different bucket capacities are available for this model, from 2.1 to 5.0 cubic metres, so if you are buying used make sure that you have all the information about a prospective wheeled loader available so that it does not surprise you. Rollover protection and falling object protection are featured in the cab as standard, while a tight turning circle and plenty of torque ensures it can manoeuvre around site unhindered.

Medium CAT Wheeled Loaders

The Caterpillar 962M sits at the top of its medium wheeled loader range for the moment, offering a degree of system integration that means less power goes to waste and thus fuel consumption is cut. The frame of the machine itself is made using two rigid pieces, welded together to form a single, unerringly solid assembly that can take years of punishment and soldier on without stopping. The axles are also very hardy, with oscillation at the rear allowing the wheels to stay in contact with the ground at all times for maximum traction. With a five speed transmission and next generation hydraulics on board, this model and many others from Caterpillar are the envy of the industry.

Large CAT Wheeled Loaders

Amongst the large wheeled loaders, Caterpillar offers the CAT 988, which is built to undergo ongoing use by a number of owners over time. With almost a quarter of a century on the market, this is a tried and tested model that has proven itself in a number of areas. And with added efficiency and lower costs, it is easy to see why people are still happy to invest in this wheeled loader second hand.
