New Holland recently debuted its new TH6.26 compact telehandler for livestock tending, bale stacking, and other applications on the farm or work site.

Compared to the previous model, the new TH6.26 has a greater maximum lift height of 5.8 metres (19 feet; up from 5.73 m and 18.8 ft) and a lower overall height of 1,955 millimetres (77 inches) for entering lower barn doors. The TH6.26 has a longer wheelbase of 2,525 mm (99.4 in.) for greater stability—despite the machine’s shorter length overall—as well as a 17% smaller outside turning radius of 3,250 mm (128 in.) for greater manoeuvrability inside buildings.

    TH6.26 Dimensions & Specifications

The TH6.26 is the newest entrant in New Holland’s TH range of telehandlers with 6 to 9 m (19.7 to 29.5 ft) of reach. New Holland says it has a max lift height approaching 6 m and a lift capacity of approximately 2,600 kilograms (5,730 pounds).

The 1,920-mm (75.6-in.) width of the TH6.26 helps it move through narrow passages, doors, and rows of trees or crops. Its 4,700-kg (10,360-lb) mass is 6% lighter than its forebear, reducing unwanted soil compaction. The machine’s headstock can rotate 155 degrees, a 26-degree improvement, and dump buckets and manure forks faster and more thoroughly.

The new telehandler’s cabin is 11% wider at 960 mm (37.8 in.) for greater operator comfort. The cab features a touchscreen display, a DAB/Bluetooth radio, and automotive-style adjustable controls. Front-, rear-, and boom-mounted LED work lights improve operator visibility inside barns and outside of daylight hours.

    The TH6.26 Powertrain

New Holland equips the TH6.26 with a 73-horsepower (54.4-kilowatt), 4-cylinder engine and a single-range hydrostatic transmission with a 30 km/h (18.6 mph) top speed. An electronic creep-speed function comes standard, as do an EcoSmart driving mode and a Start & Stop engine feature to reduce fuel consumption.

The telehandler has a constant-flow hydraulic system of the mechanical electro-proportional type. Its hydraulic gear pump supplies 80 litres (21.1 gallons) per minute of flow at 210 bar (3,046 psi) pressure.

    Options For The TH6.26

The TH6.26 comes with an automatic 45% limited-slip differential lock as standard, but you can opt for a 100% hydraulic lock for additional traction on slippery terrain. New Holland can also fit a trailer hitch at the factory along with both hydraulic and pneumatic trailer braking, giving the telehandler a towing capacity of 13,150 kg (28,990 lbs). The company supports homologation and on-road registration for the machine where required in Europe.

The cabin of the TH6.26 has an option for carbon air filters to make it easier for operators to work inside poultry houses and livestock barns. A rear-view camera option is available as well as telematics through New Holland’s FieldOps app.
