About Doosan
When it comes to tracked excavators, the DX Series is one of Doosan’s most popular and widely available families of equipment, ranging from mini excavators like the 1,165-kilogram (2,568-pound) DX10Z-7 to the 99,500-kg (219,359-lb) DX1000LC-7. Equipped with Stage V-compliant engines ranging up to 629 horsepower, there’s a Doosan excavator for any application on any size jobsite.
In January 2023, Doosan rebranded its equipment worldwide with the name “Develon,” a portmanteau of “develop” and “onward.” The company’s machines kept their trademark orange paint schemes.

If a wheeled excavator is preferable to a tracked model, Doosan’s range is well-stocked with options for buyers who favour a lighter, more manoeuvrable machine to dig deep and lift high. These models range in operation weight from about 10 to 22 tonnes (11 to 24 U.S. tons), with bucket capacities topping out at 0.86 metres3 (1.12 yards3). In particular, the urban excavation capabilities of Doosan wheeled units are worth seeking out.
The articulated dump trucks offered by Doosan are large, durable units utilising Scania engines designed to boost productivity and efficiency. The DA30-7 has a maximum payload of 28 t (31 U.S. t), while the more capacious and powerful DA45-7 carries up to 41 t (45 U.S. t) of material across the trickiest terrains. The manufacturer recognises that ROI is essential for any organisation procuring this type of vehicle, which is why speed and efficiency are integral to the design of these machines.
Doosan’s wheel loader range includes models designed to keep maintenance to a minimum while still providing a comfortable cab with well-arranged controls. The range starts with compact loaders like the DL60-7 with operating weights of 3,750 kg (8,267 lbs) and goes up to the mighty DL580-7, which tips the scales at nearly 10 times that amount: 34,488 kg (76,033 lbs). This means you’ll find wheel loaders suitable for work on small farms and landscaping jobsites on up to large-scale construction projects.
